  • Terrible execution, but decent customer service



    I ordered a perishable gift for my Dad for Fathers Day. I ordered it well ahead of time and selected the delivery date for the Saturday before Fathers Day. They shipped it Friday with overnight delivery for Saturday. FedEx did not deliver until Monday and delivered to the wrong address, which isn't really this company's fault. A neighbor brought it to my dad on Tuesday. As a result, the gift was ruined (melted, etc). I contacted Gifts.com via email. They have refunded the purchase price and delivery fees.     We ordered a knit hat for my niece on 12/14/14 and paid extra for shipping ($53.00 total for order) to get it to her for her birthday. I e-mailed two days later (because I couldn't find a customer service phone number anywhere on their website) asking if they did gift wrapping and cards. They replied three days later saying they did not and would ship the gift directly to me so I could wrap it and send it out.     SCAM STAY AWAY!! THEY CANCELED MY ORDER FOR THE HOLIDAYS WITHOUT EVEN NOTIFYING ME. TILL WEEKS LATER I HAD TO ARGUE TO GET MY REFUND WHICH THEY INSISTED WAS REFUNDED, BUT WASNT!   • Gifts.com Horrific - Wish I had read the reviews before buying



    Gifts.com: Horrific customer service (actually there IS no customer service). Recording says they open at 8am, phone lines are still not open by 9:15am. After being disconnected from the hold queue after timing out (15 minutes?) four times, I finally got in touch with someone who was so inept as to not even be able to locate my order using the order number I was emailed.     Gifts.com has the worst customer service I've had the misfortune of trying to deal with. Better stated, they have no customer service. When calling their phone number, the call goes right to voice mail and calls are never returned. The same can be said for emails. I've sent 4 emails now and they all go unanswered.     I placed an order on December 9th and received an email stating my order had been received and I would receive another email when it was shipped. I have emailed the company and was sent a link to verify my email address which was a useless gesture. I have tried to call and told to leave a message. My credit card was charged immediately.     The website itself is decent but everything will take a turn for the worse once you place your order. I ordered six items and paid for 2-day shipping (2 DAYS AGO) only to receive a confirmation that 4 of 6 items had been shipped yesterday. Even worse, the tracking number I received is invalid.I finally got through to customer service after nearly 4 hours only to find out that two items had not been filled yet and WHEN THEY DO they'll be shipped via 2-day shipping.     I ordered a personalized map heart for my husband for Christmas; order 14577 on Nov. 18, 2014. Arrival date to my house would be 10 days later. It was charged on my credit card.     This order was delivered on time, however, the box was upside down and the contents damaged. In addition, one pack of biscuits had already expired and another expires in less than two weeks indicating that the pack had been on the shelf for over a year. This is not acceptable. In addition, as I ordered from Canada for delivery in the USA, the telephone number will not connect. I managed to connect using Skype telephone and left a message.     My mother ordered a gift card for me through gifts.com. I was pretty disgusted that on redeeming it, I had to provide things like my phone number and email address and that I had to create an account. While I can understand that purchasing a gift card might require this information, it doesn't mean that the person receiving the gift card wants all their information in the "care" of some on-line, fly-by-night company.   • Buyer Beware - No Refunds



    As with many online vendors, Gifts.com has buried it's "Terms of Service" in small print and ambiguous language on their website where you are not likely to find it. Once your transaction is complete, there is no turning back - no refunds, ever. Even if you just get a gift code via email, you have no recourse other than getting your credit card company to remove the charge from your account. The overstock.com credit code was supposed to be emailed to me within 2 days; it was not, and I emailed customer services. They claimed that they were out of stock, and receiving more codes on Friday.   • Gifts.com supports a bad product



    Gifts.com a site I frequent for fun gift ideas recently was pushing a product called "Signature Days". It was a great idea in that you could pay for a fun day trip for someone...vineyard tour, hot air balloons, etc. Anyway, I spent $150 on a trip for a family member only to recently recieve a bankruptcy notice from the "Signature Days" company. No money back and gifts.com isn't supporting their products in anyway...so buyer beware! I figured gifts.com would do a bit more research on the companies they featured to create a great user experience...guess not! More...

I ordered a monogrammed glass set with a wood case and a wine bottle opener for my boss and his wife on 12/5 for their Christmas gifts. This was a joint gift from our whole office staff. I was out of the office for emergency surgery when the gifts arrived (on 12/18) and I was told the monogrammed glasses looked nothing like the glasses in the pictures (they were cheap and plain looking and said "IKEA" on them) and the wine bottle opener was the wrong opener. My office contacted the company and was told over the phone that they would refund the purchase. When I got back to work on 1/5, I still had not received the refund. I contacted Gifts.com by E-mail and inquired as to the status of the refund. The contact person stated they didn't know anything about the refund and the monogrammed glasses couldn't be refunded anyway because they were personalized. Nobody told my office that when they called originally. I E-mailed them again and explained the situation further, and Gifts.com E-mailed me back today and again stated they still won't refund the money for the glasses but will "submit a request to determine what they can do about the wrong wine opener". Thanks Gifts.com. I won't EVER use your company again and will tell EVERYONE not to use you. I work for an attorney by the way. Shame on you for poor customer service and shoddy gifts that don't look like the pictures you post.

Wish I had read the reviews before placing my order. Unfortunatley this is just another online rackeet setup with an over stock of merchandise in someone's garage. Designed to lure the average consumer and then rob them with hidden pricing and agenda and BS. And the phone work was poorly prepared uneducated and lacking customer service skills(Robert you know who you are). This was a great gift idea but we got ripped off on the free delivery. Robert if they where two separate orders why was I only billed once for the entire balance. Yeah he couldn't answer that because he was stuck on the item #. And then Robert thearntend to disconnect the call when I implied he was incompetent, but only after having my intellegence insulted by Roberts flip attitude. Robert was just like the website a misrepresenting, uninformed under paid, simple flunkie pushing some over priced home crafts. GIFTS.COM. can not even honor their own policies. What a joke, I only hope the parishables I sent to loved ones will be edible and pleasing for all the headache. Next year I making my own crafts and leaving Gifts.com in the cold. Your site sucks Robert your phone guy is a horrible customer service person and I can only hope your products...well...we will see. I'll be sure to follow up this comment. At no point did gifts.com take the initiative to contact me or inform me of the situation, and they offered no resolution other than refunding my certificate - which will take an additional business day - and "letting" me choose another merchant. Incredibly unprofessional and unhelpful, I would highly suggest not using the gifts.com service - they were able to turn redeeming a gift into a burden and a chore.
